The MIMICS Bond Tax Swap System can be used for swapping between bonds with taxable and non-taxable income and bonds with different maturities. The swap will determine the time it will take to recover the income given up from the group of bonds that may be replaced (Held Bonds) by the income from the bond or bonds to be purchased. The swap takes into account the applicable tax rates, the profit or loss on the bonds currently being held, and the bond life of the two groups. The system prints a statement of the results that can be sent to the customer. This statement can include the swap results and the profit on the swap.
